Arrest Made in November 15 Stabbing of a Corona Man

The Corona Police Department has made an arrest in connection with the fatal stabbing of a Corona man in the early morning hours of November 15.

Robert Alexander, a 25 year-old Corona man was found by Corona Police Officers just after 3 a.m. on November 15 suffering from a stab wound.  An investigation by Corona PD homicide detectives uncovered that Robert Alexander and 32 year-old James Apodaca, also of Corona, were involved in a physical altercation over an online transaction involving an adult escort from

During the altercation, both men possessed bladed weapons and sustained injuries, but only Alexanders were fatal.  According to Corona Police Sergeant Brent Nelson, Apodaca sustained injuries during the altercation, but did not seek medical attention.

James Apodaca turned himself in to Corona Police on November 19 and was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for the murder of Robert Alexander.
