Beginning today, Wednesday, September 13, 2017, the Corona Animal Shelter will offer microchipping services to City of Corona residents.
Microchipping provides permanent pet identification and is designed to quickly identify lost pets and reunite them with their owners. Unlike a collar tag, which can be lost or removed, a microchip provides permanent ID.
Microchipping services will be offered for dogs and cats on Wednesdays, from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m., by appointment only. Residents are asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to their appointment time to complete microchip registration paperwork. Both dogs and cats can be microchipped for only $5.00, but dogs must be licensed prior to the date of their appointment.
For more information about this new service, please call 951-736-2309. The Corona Animal Shelter is located at 1330 Magnolia Avenue in Corona and is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturdays, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
