Shot in the Dark performing at M15
Though the 2013 UK and Australia legs of the Vans Warped Tour will continue throughout November and December, the first booked band for the 2014 Vans Warped Tour has been announced, and it’s Corona’s own Shot in the Dark.

Warped Tour organizer Kevin Lyman announced on his Twitter feed this past Saturday, that Shot In The Dark was the first band to be officially booked for the 2014 tour.  The band, whose oldest member is just 16, formed earlier this year at Corona’s West Coast Rock School.  The band is fronted by 11-year-old Jacob Chabot, who Lyman said is “bad ass,” along with Jarod DeShong (12) on drums, Austin Schmidt (16) on lead guitar, Taylor Martino (14) on rhythm guitar, and Spike Snyder (15) on bass guitar.

While the band has yet to record or release anything, their YouTube channel features a collection of live clips, including a number of performances at Corona’s M15 Concert Bar & Grill. Below is a recording of one of the songs the band performed at M15.

The 2014 Vans Warped Tour dates and lineups have not yet been announced, but its exciting to see young talent from Corona being recognized for their talent.
