In remembrance of 9/11, Estancia Del Sol, a senior living community in Corona, is bringing a special 9/11 chili lunch to first responders in their community to thank them for their dedication and service.
From 11:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 11, volunteers, residents and staff will visit Station One and Station Two of the Corona Fire Department and the Corona Police Department— with resident and staff chili recipes. Bread bowls, corn bread and a variety of sides will also accompany the delicious chili dishes.
“We’re always looking for ways to give back to the community and get our residents and staff involved, so when we had the opportunity, we thought what better way to thank our first responders and remember those who risked their lives on 9/11, than with yummy food and good company,” said Alexis Remington-Perez, General Manager for Estancia Del Sol.
