2017 Corona Tree Lighting Ceremonies

Can you believe it? Thanksgiving is just five days away!  Which means locations throughout Corona are getting ready to illuminate their trees to kick off the Christmas season.  Check out the list of upcoming tree lightings in the area.

The Shops at Dos Lagos Tree Lighting Ceremony & Santa Arrival

The fun kicks off tonight, Saturday, November 18 as The Shops at Dos Lagos host their annual Tree Lighting Ceremony and Santa Arrival.  The event kicks off at 5 PM and will feature the Santiago High School Marching Band and will be followed by photo opportunities with Santa from 6 PM – 8 PM.

The Crossings at Corona: A Classic Christmas

Next Saturday, November 25 at 6 PM The Crossings at Corona will host their annual classic Christmas tree lighting ceremony.  In addition to Santa’s arrival and a tree lighting, the event will feature carolers, a performance by the Santiago High School band, and photo opportunities with Santa and The Grinch.  Arrive early and enjoy the Craft Station, Balloon Artist Elves and a visit from Elsa, Anna and Olaf from Disney’s Frozen.  All activities will take place near the large fountain in front of Edwards Theater.

Crossroads Tree Lighting

Crossroads Church will hold their annual tree lighting on Sunday, November 26.  This special holiday event kicks off at 5 PM and will feature food, drinks, hayrides and a petting zoo.  At 5:30 guest will gather around the tree to sing carols as the church lights their 50-foot tree!

The tree lighting will be followed by pictures with Father Christmas at 6 PM and the food and fun will continue until 8 PM.

City of Corona Holiday Lighting Celebration

The City of Corona will be hosting their annual Holiday Lighting Celebration on Sunday, December 3 from 4 PM – 7 PM.  The event will be held on the Front Lawn of the Historic Civic Center (815 W. Sixth St.)

Live entertainment will be provided by Arts Alive and light refreshments will be served by the Corona-Norco United Way.  Kids in attendance can make a special craft at Santa’s Workshop with help from some elves from Crossroads Christian Church.  Santa will also be on hand to take photos and kids will be able to play in real snow donated by Thomas Miller Mortuary.

During the event, the city will be collecting unwrapped toys for children in the community as part of the Corona Fire Department’s “Spark of Love” toy drive.  The city has also partnered with the Corona Regional Medical Center’s Hospice Auxiliary to host their “Luminaries of Life” tribute to remember a loved one.
