Over the years Life in Corona has done it’s part to help do more good in the community by making sure that area residents were aware of fundraisers and charity events being held in the area. From the slew of fundraisers to benefit Santiago High School football player Jordan Walker, to a board breaking fundraiser to benefit the Blue Star Mothers, we’ve tried as hard as possible to get the word out and help Corona area residents make a difference. Now I’m excited to announce my involvement in another effort to help do more good, Collabogive.
Collabogive is an online fundraising platform designed to help people “do more good.” Unlike most crowdfunding platforms that allow fundraisers for just about anything, Collabogive only allows fundraisers aimed at making a difference in the community and around the world. Taking inspiration from organizations like charity:water, TOMS, and Sevenly, Collabogive hopes to make caring “cool” by providing non-profits and individuals a means of raising money and awareness about their cause, all online.
Founded by local entrepreneur Janna Gilleland, Collabogive was born on the idea that people are too often focused on their own existence and are blind to the struggles in the world around them. Collabogive was designed to help make people aware of these struggles, extend the reach of those in need, and make an overall difference in the world. It’s designed to be more than just a platform, but a movement for good.
With other major fundraising platforms charging 8-10% in fees, Collabogive offers a competitive 6.9% + $0.30 fee structure, which allows more money to go to the cause the donation was intended for. Additionally we provide easy-to-use online tools that allow you to easily amplify your message and share your campaign quickly and easily through email and social media channels.
I invite any Corona or Norco residents who feel they or their organization can benefit from the platform to visit the Collabogive website at http://Collabogive.com. If you’re a Non-Profit Organization, I invite you to visit our NPO & Group Registration page, which will provide you with special tools to allow your organization to better use the platform or allow others to crowdfund in your name.
I am excited about this new partnership, and I hope Corona area residents will take advantage of this exciting new platform in an effort to do more good!
